In 1944, Albert Defehr began building wooden furniture in the basement of his Winnipeg home. Over the past 70 years, the company he founded has built a legacy of innovation and industry leading craftsmanship. Today, Palliser Furniture is Canada’s largest supplier and manufacturer in the industry.

In 2016 Palliser Furniture was named one of “Canada’s Best Managed Companies.” The recent honor showcases the company’s ability to adapt and excel throughout the past seven decades. The only company in Manitoba to make the list, Palliser employs over 600 workers in Winnipeg alone, not to mention their other North American manufacturing centers.
